Yoru might have to face this unknown devil in chapter 123 of Chainsaw Man. 

Going by the description given by Fami, it is highly likely that Yoru is facing the Death Devil. Or, it may be the Suicide devil. The devil’s name is a primal fear, but by the incident, only death seems to be the devil’s name. 

I truly feel bad for Asa and Yoru as they can never get some rest or even a minute’s rest. Yoru is still not able to get her hands on a powerful weapon. I wonder when she will become strong and the badass she was when she first appeared. 

Denji might show up to save Asa, which might be how they start talking again.

Fami and Hirofumi are sitting in a cafe. Hirofumi called her, and he knew she was the Famine Devil. He has called Fami to ask her about the Prophecies of Nostradamus.

It was predicted that in June 1999, the king of Terror would descend on Earth, and it predicted the end of humanity. Everyone thought this was a joke, but Public Safety didn’t. 

In an experiment, they forced thirty convicts to make a contract with the Future Devil and wanted the devil to predict their death. The future devil told them that 23 of the 30 convicts would die in July 1999.

Fami asks him about the context. Hirofumi thinks she has some connection to all this, and he has called her to make her talk. Fami tells him that the other seven will die this week. She tells Yoshida that a devil has appeared at East District Tamano Apartments.

 

It is one of the first devils to bring destruction and ultimate terror to the world. Before she can tell Yoshida the name, the focus shifts to a couple in some apartment. The man tells his wife that he will be getting promoted. 

They both are having a good time when the man suddenly asks her whether she, too, thinks they should just die. She agrees, and both jump off their balcony and fall to their death. Like that, everyone in the apartment starts jumping off their balconies.

Yoru was standing in front of the same apartment. She takes out a ruler sword. Suddenly, out of all the dead bodies emerges a big devil. Yoru regrets her decision of wanting to fight as she realizes it is not a fight she can win.

So she starts running away, while the devil with no head goes after her. 

6. About Chainsaw Man

Chainsaw Man is a manga series by Tatsuki Fujimoto that was serialized from December 2018-2020 and returned in July 2022 with a second part. The series also received an anime series by MAPPA.

The manga’s plot revolves around Denji, an orphaned boy who has to work as a devil hunter to make a living and pay off his father’s debt.

However, his pet devil, Pochita is killed on a mission. Denji wakes up to realize he and Pochita have become a single being, Chainsaw Man. If he does not want to get killed, he has to join the government and continue hunting demons.
