Bungou Stray Dogs Season 3 premiered in spring 2019, and fans have been waiting for Season 4 ever since. Season 3 hinted towards a big upcoming fight, and it seems almost impossible that the creators would just leave the story there. Besides, everyone is extremely eager to reunite with their favorite suicide-loving Detective, Dazai, and his man-tiger colleague, Atsushi.
Bungou Stray Dogs starts with the introduction of a mysterious white tiger that goes on a killing spree every night in orphanages.
An unsuspecting and traumatized resident boy, Atsushi, is behind these killings. He transforms into a tiger every night and goes on a rampage, unconscious of his human self.
This goes on till Atsushi’s 18th birthday after which, he gets thrown out of the orphanage. Having nowhere to go, he aimlessly wanders around and suddenly finds a bizarre man, trying to end his life by drowning in a river.
The man being none other than Osamu Dazai, a detective working in the Armed Detective Agency. Dazai takes the boy under his supervision, hence making him an official part of the agency.

1. Release Date
Bungou Stray Dogs Season 4 is yet to get officially renewed. We can expect the announcement in the next few months and be released in the fall of 2021 or winter of 2022. It shouldn’t take a long while since the creators were fairly swift in the production of the first three seasons.
Season 4 will most likely have 12 episodes like its predecessors.
2. What To Expect From Season 4
Season 3 ended at volume 13, chapter 53. There are 20 volumes in the original manga of Bungou Stray Dogs, and it is still ongoing.
Season 3 introduced a bunch of new characters, most notably, Fyodor Dostoyevsky. For the flashback, we see Dazai and Chuuya team up to unravel the secret behind the myth of Arahabaki. Meanwhile, the Armed Detective Agency has to deal with the shenanigans of multiple foes, old and new in the present day.
There’s a lot to uncover in season 4 regarding Dostoyevsky and a possible bloody fight involving Atsushi.
3. About Bungou Stray Dogs
Bungou Stray Dogs narrates the story of Atsushi, an orphan who gets kicked out of his orphanage for causing strange incidents involving a mystical white tiger.
After being left to fend for himself, Atsushi encounters Dazai, a supernatural detective with a strange kink for suicide. Dazai helps Atsushi to solve the case of the mystic white tiger.
Shortly after, Atsushi becomes a member of the supernatural detective organization, assisting the investigators in solving unusual cases and fighting against evil mafia organization.
