Kazuki has no idea what Miri wants for Christmas because she already gave her Santa letter to Misaki. They conceal Misaki’s death from Miri, who is upset that Misaki will miss the day-Christmas care party, and promise they will both attend once their important job is completed. They travel to the Organization to meet with Shigeki but are forced to shoot their way in.
They come across Ogino, whom they kill together after a difficult battle. Rei insists on facing Shigeki alone and dispatches Kazuki to locate an escape vehicle. After wounding Shigeki in a shootout, Rei announces his departure from the Organization to be with his real family, then intentionally cripples his right arm so he can never be an assassin again. Shigeki almost shoots Rei in the back but eventually lets him go.
To Miri’s delight, they return in time for the daycare party, concealing their numerous bloody injuries beneath Santa costumes. Ten years later, Kazuki and Rei co-own the Diner Nest, where Rei’s French Toast is the signature dish. Now in high school, Miri lives happily with her two papas, keeping a photo of her mother on her table.
