Episode 240 of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations starts with Boruto and Ikada sailing the seas, while Ikada shows off his sea wave and wind reading skills. Ikada steers his boat straight into the stormy part of the sea without hesitation.

They are faced with giant waves, whirlpools, and whatnot. They even have to save a drowning man. Ikada swims out to him, and Boruto spots his webbed hands.

Ikada has to admit to Boruto that he was his savior after all. Will Boruto uncover any more secrets about Ikada?

Episode 241 Speculations

When Ikada set out with Boruto, some fans did suspect that he was involved with the Funato and that he might endanger Boruto. Many thought that he could be a double agent for the Funato, but it isn’t likely since he left his family and all it stood for.

It doesn’t look like Ikada will be able to avoid the Funato situation for long, though. His beloved sister Seiren is coming for him soon and will try to take him away. We might get to see Boruto and Seiren fight in the next episode.

Boruto and Ikada are sailing away on Ikada’s tiny boat, and Boruto still wonders about his savior. They are about to enter the north-eastern sea region, where the waves and winds are intense. The sky looks almost black in that particular area.

They sail right into a storm, but Ikada steers his boat well. He says he grew up on ships all his childhood, which is common in the north. Boruto is surprised to know he is not from this island. Ikada says it was tough leaving his family, and his older sister is the only one in contact with him.

Back on the island, Iwabe says he doesn’t want to get involved in this island’s mess in front of the shipbuilders. The shipbuilders tell him they wouldn’t want others involved anyway. The shipbuilders tell them that Boruto and Ikada must be traveling by sea right now.

There is a powerful rainstorm raging, creating whirlpools. Boruto sees a capsized boat and a person asking for help. He asks Ikada to save them, who swims out to catch the drowning man. In the process, Boruto sees Ikada’s webbed hands, meaning he was indeed Boruto’s savior.

Ikada tries to steer the boat away from a whirlpool, and giant waves keep rocking his tiny boat. Ikada falls out of the boat, and Boruto catches him with the shadow clone jutsu. Ikada successfully steers the boat away from a whirlpool.

They reach the island to get the man they saved some help. They talked about how he left his family, and Boss Kajiki took him in and taught him closely about ships. They get to the factory before it closes to buy the needed parts.

Mizukage’s men gather fleets to fight the Funato, and Araumi asks about his daughter Seiren. Isari informs him that she is ready to go. Araumi says he’ll wipe out the Mizukage.

Seiren is seen sailing on her ship and saying that she’ll meet “him” too and that “he” needs to step up. Then we see a carefree Ikada, laughing with his friends.
