The killer used a heavy object to kill, so the biggest suspect is Kyoho. Everyone blames him even though he says he didn’t do it. The civilian survivors hear of a rumor.

They know the captain has been killed by one of those convicts. Iwabe, Boruto, and Kyoho stay with the captain’s body while the others go around in pairs to investigate.

Kawaki brings back a civilian who says he saw someone head over to the captain’s room at night while going to the bathroom. He says all Funato clan members have a mark on their faces, Kyoho should remove his mask to prove his innocence.

Being backed into a corner, Kyoho feels vulnerable and runs away. Kawaki runs after him and, in the heat of battle, kills him. The witness pukes up water, revealing that a Funato member had possessed the civilian’s body.

Later, it turns out that Kyoho is alive. They catch the actual criminal by using Kawaki’s bait method, but the Funato guy doesn’t get caught because he blows himself up. The ship’s engine is wrecked.

They solve those problems, and Kyoho is proven innocent in the end. The civilians apologize for being so distrustful.
