Episode 235 Recap
Sarada’s team and Kagura’s team get on the slowest rickety boat ever. Soon, they enter Funato-ruled waters, and the Funato pirates ask them to leave. The old owner of the boat offers them money in exchange for a trouble-less journey to the islands.
The pirate takes the money and gives him the go-ahead. That is when Kawaki decides to come out of hiding for fresh air, so they have to incapacitate the pirates. The boatman presses a button, and it turns out the boat can go fast.
They reach the shores and see destroyed buildings. The Funato are taking the villagers and enslaving them to carry gold.
They decide that Mitsuki and Sarada will search for Denki while Boruto and Kawaki watch Kagura’s convicts. On the island, they see a pirate taking one of the puppets from Konoha to the ship for Lord Tenma.
They intercept the puppet after knocking the pirate out. The puppet leads them to Denki and his team. On the boat, Boruto asks Kagura why he’s fighting for Buntan and others.
Kagura says it’s because Boruto saved him from working for Shizuma. When Shizuma escaped, Buntan and the others had the choice of going with him, but they didn’t, so Kagura wanted to help them.
In the end, everyone on the boat sees a gigantic ship come straight out of the sea.
