As Naruto gives a report of what happened to Amado, he informs them that Isshiki’s soul has completely dissipated. Amado assures Naruto that Kara has disintegrated, however Isshiki, a.ka. Jigen’s most loyal protege, Code, survives.

Code is one of the many children Jigen had experimented on and given his karma to. He is a formidable enemy and his power exceeds that of his master. So, to make himself less capable than Jigen he had limiters put on himself that would curtail his full potential.

The soul of Isshiki shows itself to Code and says that he will inherit the will of the Otsutsuki and would become his successor, hinting that he would have to feed Ten Tails a sacrifice and then grow the divine tree which would bear it’s chakra fruit.
