Episode 267 Recap
The students act out the village’s history. Himawari is chosen as her grandfather, Minato, and Kawaki as Katsuyu, while Kae is chosen as Tsunade and Ehou as Jiraiya. Kawaki speaks with Kae about how the play has affected her.
Kae wants to remain with her friends forever, which Orochimaru could not accomplish during his banishment years ago. Meanwhile, Eiki discovers that Kawaki is a genin and, with the assistance of one of his classmates, attempts to obtain his actual headband for the play.
During the play rehearsals, Eiki makes his move. Unfortunately for everyone else, he mistakenly damages the stage, requiring Kawaki to step in and save everyone. He lets Eiki recognize the repercussions of his hasty acts and eventually apologizes.
Eiki breaks down in tears and apologizes to his classmates as he realizes that he may have ruined the festival that everyone was looking forward to and as he was focusing on his selfish gain. However, Kawaki and everyone forgive him and tell him they can still fix the stage.
The class works together to restore the stage, but Kawaki loses his headband. Osuka discovers it and returns it after overhearing Eiki conversing with their classmate earlier in the day.
Osuka ensures both Kawaki and Himawari that she won’t tell anyone about the headband as she owes Kawaki for saving her when she was kidnapped.
Eiki approaches Himawari and Kawaki, apologizing once more. He gives them a message he got anonymously that discloses Kawaki’s identity.
Kawaki rushes to Kae’s help, which is about to be slain by an assassin hired by her country’s Minister, who has conspirators attempting to put her younger brother on the throne instead of her.
