Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War arc was one of the most anticipated releases this year, and it did not just meet our expectations but exceeded them.
Each and every scene, character, premise, and plotline were so well-made that we just couldn’t take our eyes off the screen. Now that the anime is done with its first part, the franchise has given us a heads-up for the second.
A new promo video for Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War reveals that the anime will return in July 2023 with its second cour.
The video features a concerning and tragic verbal exchange between Ichigo and Uryu, the last survivor of Quincy. Ichigo asks Uryu in a desperate voice what he is doing there, indicating that the latter has joined Yhwach.
Along with this, we get various cut scenes from other conversations while Ichigo’s sword is shown in detail. It then ends with previewing more clips from the anime and Uryu declaring he’ll kill Ichigo for Quincy’s pride.
In addition, Viz Media also shared a stunning key visual featuring Ichigo in the center with a young Isshin and Masaki Kurosaki on each side. This means that the second cour might explore Ichigo and his parents’ past.
As for the story and Uryu’s apparent betrayal, I have a few doubts about that. It’s kind of sketchy that Uryu is so loyal to Yhwach without any reason, so I think he’s probably planning to eliminate the Quincy King himself.
If it’s not that, and Uryu is now on Yhwach’s side without ulterior motives, then it’s safe to say that everyone is doomed.
After this epic teaser, I’m sure everyone has become even more agitated to see what will happen in the second cour.
