All 12 episodes of Baki Hanma: Son of Ogre were released by Netflix on September 30, 2021. Though the finale did not give us a showdown between Baki and his father, we did get to see Oliva’s Pac-man move, the Ball.
I had no idea that the world’s strongest man’s best move was to turn into a human armadillo-blackhole, but it did render Baki immovable for a good few moments, so hope you never get sucked into such a vortex yourself.
Above all, Baki has finally defeated Biscuit Oliva, the strongest man in the USA. So is Baki the strongest man in the world now? That is a complex question to answer. Especially since even Oliva acknowledges the strength of Yujiro.
So far, Baki was the strongest high-schooler in existence. Now that he has defeated Oliva, he has snatched away the “strongest man alive” title.
Yujiro was shown contemplating Baki’s current strength in the Baki Hanma anime’s conclusion. Yet, before facing Yujiro, Baki has many more hurdles to overcome, one of whom was shown right before the end credits.
This man who was found preserved in a saline rock formation in the middle of a fight with a T-Rex is Pickle. Pickle, a man from the primitive ages, possesses superhuman strength and will be Baki’s next opponent.
Baki will have to face opponents who are stronger than the previous ones and use them as stepping stones to reach Yujiro.
The anime will return with another season to cover the Pickle Wars Saga, and I am eager to see if Baki can defeat a man who has fought dinosaurs.
