Akashic Records Season 2: Release Info, Rumors, Updates

Akashic Records of Bastard Magic Instructor follows a teacher’s journey in a magic school who wants to get fired, a princess with unclear motives hinting towards world domination, and her classmate who wants to go to a magical castle in the sky.

The anime is filled with clichés, such as pretty high school girls groping each other in the locker room when suddenly a male teacher bursts in.

He addresses how cliché the situation is (which is also a cliché) before getting kicked out with a massive nosebleed.

The anime is funny, light, and has fantastic action sequences. So, if you’re in the mood for a light action anime, be sure to check this out.

Season 1 of Akashic Records came out in 2017. Fans loved the anime and are waiting for an official announcement for season 2 ever since.

1. Release Date

The release date of Akashic Records is yet to be announced. However, if it does make a comeback, we can expect it in late-2021 or early to mid-2022.

As of October 2020, Akashic Records of Bastard Magic Instructor has only one season. The anime was a success but has not received a production update from the studio yet.

2. What To Expect From Season 2

There are 16 volumes in the original light novel of Akashic Records, and only 6 volumes have been adapted into anime. Additionally, there are 6 extras included in the novel.

The light novel itself is still ongoing, so there is enough source material needed for another season.

Season 2 would start off from where it ended in the novel and could adapt vol. no. 7- 14. Like season 1, season 2 would most likely have 12 episodes depending on the source material.
