After an Ambiguous Ending, Dr. Stone to Receive Sequel Spinoff Chapters

It’s been 18 months since the sci-fi drama manga Dr. Stone ended. However, many fans were disappointed with the original ending of this incredible drama.

To compensate for the damage, the author is releasing a new spin-off series. Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming manga.

The 48th issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine announced that Dr. Stone manga will get a special three-chapter spinoff manga starting on the magazine’s 49th issue on November 6. The spinoff manga’s first chapter will have 47 pages, including a color page.

While fans weren’t necessarily displeased with the ending, everyone agreed that something was missing from the conclusion. It lacked the sense of finality. They believed the moon arc ended quickly, and this series was axed.

In the final chapter of this series, we see Senku and Co. discover the cause of petrification. They deal with it and revive the earth’s state back to normal. Following this, it was also said that Senku was working on a time machine.

He hoped this time machine could help him return to the past and prevent mass petrification. However, the finale didn’t explore this in detail, and the spinoff manga will focus on this element.

In this spinoff, we will see Senku take on the challenge of building a time machine and will likely see the result of his experiment.

The spinoff celebrates the airing of the second cour of Dr. Stone: New World, the third Dr. Stone anime season. The third season of the Dr. Stone manga’s television anime adaptation is aired in Japan and internationally on Crunchyroll every Thursday.

The spin-off is terrific news for the fans who weren’t satisfied with the ending. They can consider this to be an epilogue.
