When a story reaches its climax, fans become excited as they finally get to know how the ending plays out. Once they read the ending, though, fans have nothing to look forward to anymore.
This feeling of not having anything to look forward to makes fans sad, and manga production houses know about this.
So they make important announcements about new projects or sequels when a story reaches its climax, and that fans have something to look forward to.
The 26th issue of this year’s Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine by Shueisha made an announcement on Monday, 1st June.
They stated that the next issue which releases on 8th June will feature an “important announcement” for the manga Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs. The issue also teased that the manga is going to reach its climax in the same issue.
About Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs
Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs (Yuragi-sō no Yūna-san) is a Japanese shonen manga penned and illustrated by Tadahiro Miura. The manga has been serialized in the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine by Shueisha since 8th February 2016. It has been collected and compiled into 22 tankobon volumes. The English version of the manga is published by Seven Seas Entertainment, under the Ghost Ship Imprint. The first volume was released on 8th May 2018.
A TV anime adaptation of the manga aired for 12 episodes starting July 2018. The series was licensed by Aniplex of America and was streamed on Crunchyroll.
The plot follows the life of the unlucky high school student by the name Kogarashi Fuyuzora.
He is homeless, but he has amazing psychic abilities. While searching for a home, they stumble upon the Yuragi Inn, a former hot springs inn, which has now been converted into a cheap boarding house. There is a reason for the low rent though, the inn is haunted by a beautiful ghost spirit by the name of Yuuna.
Kogorashi takes pity on Yuuna and decides to help her instead of resorting to exorcism. While helping her, he slowly starts learning the supernatural secrets of the other female tenants.
