Shiori, a Half Demon girl from the bat tribe used the village as a safe haven for Half-Demon kids like Setsuna. With Setsuna’s arrival, Shiori greeted her wholeheartedly and Setsuna happily grew up in the village.

One day, while Shiori’s powers and the barrier surrounding the village was down due to the New Moon, a demon named Gaga Gozen attacked their base to devour the Half Demon children.

Setsuna and the kids tried their hardest to fight back but were unable to defeat the powerful demon. Even Miroku who had appeared by their side was unable to fight Gaga Gozen.

Just when they thought all hope was lost, Setsuna unleashed her pure demon blood powers and clawed through the demon’s stomach ripping him to shreds.

Since Setsuna seemed unable to control the powers, with Miroku’s help they sealed her powers to the Naginata. After that, Setsuna tells Towa about her leaving the village and joining the demon slayers.

This is where Setsuna’s story ends as she helps the village fight off some more demons trying to breach the barrier. Towa seems quite happy with her sister suddenly sharing her life’s story.
