Wrath of Man: Jason Statham Seeks Revenge in New Red Band Trailer

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer dropped a brand new Red Band trailer for Wrath of Man ahead of its release next week.

The fourth collaboration between actor Jason Statham and director Guy Ritchie, the movie will see the former as a vengeful man seeking revenge for the death of his son.

Wrath of Man’s official Twitter account released the trailer that shows the lengths Statham’s character “H” is willing to go to avenge his son’s death. The clip begins with H being a witness to his son’s murder while failing to save him.

To find out the perpetrator behind the crime, he joins a cash truck company as an undercover driver. But things do not go as smoothly as H must face many enemies who get in his way.

The trailer also gives a brief glimpse at rapper Post Malone who plays the role of one of the robbers and is violently killed by H. Check out the trailer here:

Incorporated with Ritchie’s iconic hard-hitting action sequences, the red band trailer is a major upgrade from the official one that came out last month. However, it should be noted that it lacks the sense of humor that generally comes along in most of his works.

Considering that the revenge motive is central to the plot, Wrath of Man seems to be confined within a sole ambition and possesses an emotional core. This can likely be taken as the reason behind the director maintaining a streak of seriousness throughout the film.

Statham, who is renowned for his action-thriller roles, is a perfect fit for H. Following his last venture with Ritchie in 2005’s Revolver, the duo is making a much-awaited comeback with the upcoming movie. 

However, both have kept busy over the years. The actor appeared in big franchises like Fast and Furious and its 2019 spinoff Hobbs and Shaw, while Ritchie went on to direct two Sherlock Holmes movies and The Man From U.N.C.L.E., among many others.

Now, with the duo making a comeback, buckle onto your seats and prepare yourself for an adrenaline rush like no other.

Wrath of Man is an upcoming action thriller film written and directed by Guy Ritchie, based on the 2004 French film, Cash Truck by Nicolas Boukhrief. It is Ritchie’s fourth directorial collaboration with lead actor Jason Statham, following Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998), Snatch (2000), and Revolver (2005).

The plot follows H, a cold and mysterious character working at a cash truck company responsible for moving hundreds of millions of dollars around Los Angeles each week.
