Who would have thought we’d get a blast from the past in the latest season of World Trigger?
The third season of World Trigger debuted with its first episode shedding light on the old Border.
When Osamu enters his new office room, he discovers a photograph of the founding members of Border. This photograph was left by none other than Commander Kido.
We get a look at the people who started it all in a small single-story structure with only nineteen members.
As we all got a peek at how Border came to be, the first episode of World Trigger season 3 started with nostalgia.
Up until now, details about the Border’s origin were not known. This accidental discovery paved the way for worldbuilding.
We join Yuri in analyzing how Kido’s strategy modified in reaction to wars against Neighbor invasions, which left just as many dead as any ordinary warfare. He chose to transform the Border from an ambassadorship for the Neighborhood to an entirely defensive military establishment.
The four-person cell, Tamakoma Second, recognized the pressure of being chosen for Border’s next away mission after learning that the death of the original Border founders functioned as a catalyst for the beginning of their journey.
Debuting on a nostalgic note, World Trigger season 3 has a lot in store for us.
Let’s sit back and relax while Osamu, Kuga, Chika, and Hyuse gear up for their next mission.
About World Trigger
World Trigger, also known in short form as WorTri, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Daisuke Ashihara. It was initially serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump from February 2013 to November 2018 and later transferred to Jump Square in December 2018.
A mysterious white-haired kid named Yūma Kuga gets transferred to the local school. Turns out, Kuga is actually a humanoid or ‘neighbor.’ In school, he becomes friends with another student, Osamu Mikumo, who is, in fact, an undercover C-class Border trainee. Mikumo becomes the perfect guide for Kuga to save him from being discovered by Border.
