Witcher Author Sapkowski Is All Praises for S2 Ahead of Premiere

With only two days left for The Witcher Season 2 to premiere, the world now has an early review. The sequel received high praise from none other than the original creator of the story, Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski.

Teasers and sneak-peeks are ordinary promotional materials. Netflix’s The Witcher Twitter account went an extra mile and posted a review by the author whose books the series is based on.

Sapkowski complimented and praised Lauren Schmidt Hissrich for her “excellent work.” Reading between the lines, he subtly called The Witcher Season 2 epic and said he will be awaiting a “more epic” Season 3.

Sapkowski’s remark even held ground when he said that adapting his work isn’t easy, but Hissrich and her team have made it quite enjoyable.

A compliment on a big scale directly from the original creator would have anyone excited. While Hissrich replied, “Mine too!” using heart, sword, and wolf emoji, fans are hyped up for the sequel.

Along with the review, there’s another incredible storyline teased that is keeping fans on their toes.

The bada** Tissaia (MyAnna Buring) is alive—and discussing the aftermath of the victory of Sodden Hill with her apprentice, Yennefer (Anya Chalotra).

The Witcher Season 1 ending cemented Yennefer’s position as the ultimate sorceress, as she unleashed unbelievable power to end the battle.

The latest clip gives a sneak peek into the relationship between the mentor and mentee (who fans desperately want to see in mother-daughter moments).

Now that Tissaia knows the incredible power the young sorceress is capable of, she wants her “to lay low” for the time being and let the credit of the victory go to Vilgefortz (Mahesh Jadu).

The young, I-am-capable-of-so-much-more sorceress Yennefer doesn’t seem to like it, but she doesn’t argue. The two then share a hug, and Yennefer’s experience suggests that she doesn’t intend to stay low (especially now that she realizes her unstoppable power.)
