Warwick Davis’ Willow Returns for a New Adventure

Warwick Davis returns to the magical land of Nelwyn and picks up his wand after three decades to play the role of Willow Ufgood . LucasFilm has finally picked up the 1988 fantasy cult classic and is introducing a new TV series serving as a sequel to the film of the same name.

The show was announced in 2019 by Ron Howard, set to premiere on Disney+ at the beginning of 2022. Though late, it’s finally almost here! The eight-part series will premiere its first episode on November 30, 2022, with new episodes released weekly.

Willow | Official Trailer | Disney+

The trailer shows the return of few loved characters like Davis’ Willow and Joanne Whalley’s Sorsha and also introduces new characters like Ruby Cruz’s Kit, Erin Kellyman’s Jade, Ellie Bamber’s Dove, Amar Chadha-Patel’s Boorman, and more.

The trailer challenges the audience’s view of good and evil as we are reintroduced to the magical world. Kit, Soarsha’s daughter, recruits Willow, now a formidable sorcerer after thirty years of honing his craft, to find her kidnapped brother, the prince.

A darkness looms over the green lands of Nockmaar, and though we know Bavmorda has been defeated, a new villain may have risen to complete her mission.

Willow has not had a heroic adventure in a while, but in Kit he sees Soarsha’s likeliness, and he agrees to help her. Willow bids goodbye to his family, and they pass the gate into Nockmaar, and that’s where the action begins.

Mysterious creatures, sword fights, sorcerer duels, and much action is packed in the trailer, which shows a promising sequel geared up to stream on Disney+ soon.

According to the trailer, Willow may have a new mentee to teach as Tony Revolri’s unnamed character speaks like a sorcerer in training. Willow, now a master of his art, as the trailer showcases in a few clips, is undoubtedly up to the task – if he’s willing is another matter.

Are you going to journey with Willow and his fellow adventurers to the dark and magical lands again from November 30, 2022, onwards?
