Willow Season 1 Episode 8: Release Date, Recap, and Speculation

The penultimate episode may have been slower than the previous episode in terms of progressing the story, but it has set the stage for an exciting season finale. The episode begins with Kit being saved by Elora and ends with Airk changed for the worse by Lili.

We can’t wait to see what the finale has in store for us! Let’s discuss some of the points we hope Willow’s season 1 finale touches upon, in case there’s no season 2.

Episode 8 Synopsis/Speculation

Even though now we know Lili’s intentions were anything but good, this episode didn’t outright confirm she was the Crone. We hope the next episode clears that up, and who knows, maybe her character brings a twist to be explored in a potential season 2.

Graydon’s flute sparking some magic is really hinting at something more coming the prince’s way – whether it is sinister or grand, though, we can’t determine. With his previous stints of getting possessed and his dark side, we’re hoping Revolori gets another chance to play evil Graydon.

Elora Donan’s vision must have been traumatizing for her to be so much in shock after it, and we’re guessing it has something to do with Bavmorda or the Crone. She even confesses she’d rather have a simple life, but her rise to being the child of the prophecy is far from over.

The turning point of Donan’s fate will climax in the finale, and we’re ready to see some angst and breakthrough magic after she sees Airk’s transformation. Speaking of Airk, the prince just got a badass makeover, and it probably hints at him finally having crossed over to the dark side.

It’ll be a nice change seeing the usually dim prince take a commanding pose in the next episode – and the kicker? We’ll see him take on his sister and the love of his life, and we can’t wait for that drama!

Episode 7 Recap

Willow Season 1 Episode 8: Release Date, Recap, and Speculation
Journey to the Shattered Sea

The episode opens in Immemorial City, where Airk leads Lili across Immemorial City, and we don’t know if Airk senses her ominous vibe, but we definitely can. He comes to the lake of elixir and explains it is safe when he suddenly has a vision of his sister drowning and Elora trying to save him.

Elora Donan saves Kit, but she’s still weak, so the group rests at Zeb’s cabin at the edge of the land before traveling on the Shattered Sea. But soon, the Gales sent by the Crone find the group and attack, making them retreat on a cart manned by a Mudmander named Kenneth.

During their journey, Elora trains under Willow, but she has yet to reach her maximum potential. We hope Donan gets a handle on it after they come to Immemorial City since she’ll need all the magic to save Airk. But at least she made up her differences with Kit.

Lili leads Airk down a hallway filled with otherworldly light after some flirtations pass between them, and she performs a ritual on the prince. The group reaches Immemorial City, and Elora & Kit jump out of the boat to search for Airk. But when they face him, they realize something is wrong with Kit’s brother and Elora’s lover.
