Will We Get To See Lucario? – Pokemon Anime’s Possible Hiatus Teased By Ash’s Voice Actor

COVID-19 has caused delays to the production of many anime and manga as the publishers, as well as the fans insist that the delay is essential for the health of the production workforce.

This has also affected the world of anime and manga as many production houses are closed to avoid further spreading the virus.

Looks like Pocket Monsters is about to go on a hiatus as well. Ash Ketchum’s voice actor, Rica Matsumoto, recently tweeted out that she has no recording sessions planned for the foreseeable future. No official confirmation from the studio has been given yet.

“I’ve got no work, so I decided to take a long vacation. I don’t even know what time I should wake up or go to bed. I’m surprised at how bad I am at managing my time. Yesterday I was watching movies, and before I realized it, it was 6 in the morning. It’s like I have jetlag…Gotta snap out of this.”

It is unclear exactly how many episodes’ worth of voice have already been recorded by the studio. Therefore, it is hard to estimate how many more episodes will go live before the series goes on hiatus. New information will be posted on our website as soon as it is released, so be sure to stay tuned!

Shueisha has also delayed the release of new manga volumes, including Demon Slayer Volume 20, Boruto: Naruto Next Generation Volume 11, and many more.

About Pokemon

Pokemon, first released in 1996, is set up in a world where humans catch monsters and store them in pocket-sized poke-balls, thus the name Pocket Monsters or Pokemon.

They are creatures with an affinity to certain elements and some superhuman abilities related to that particular element.

Revolving around a teenage boy Ash Ketchum, it takes us through his journey to becoming the most accomplished Pokemon trainer the world has ever seen.
