Cyberpunk Edgerunners is a ten-episode Netflix series adapted from Cyberpunk 2077. It is produced by Studio Trigger and received a phenomenal response from the audience for its animation and unique color scheme.
It is also written well and is about a street kid named David who is trying to survive in a technology and body-modification-obsessed city, Night City. He then chooses to become an edgerunner for a mercenary organisation known as cyberpunk.

Cyberpunk Edgerunners was planned to be a standalone show and Season 2 was never in the plan. This was officially confirmed by Satoru Honma, the manager of CD Projekt. The chances for revival are also very low.
Cyberpunk Edgerunners Was Meant To Be A Standalone!
CD Projekt’s manager Satoru Honma talked about Cyberpunk Edgerunners and clarified that the anime was always meant to be a stand-alone and they were never planning a season 2, to begin with.
It is also difficult to make a new season considering the end. Almost all the members of David’s crew are dead, and Lucy is the only person who survived. If they attempted to make a season 2 it wouldn’t most likely have a new crew and new story and be completely different from Season 1.
Is there a chance for revival?
The anime has a very good response from the audience and if there is a high demand it may be possible for the studios to revive the project. However, the chances look very slim.
This is mainly because Studio Trigger is very busy and rarely does follow-ups. So it is better if we consider the anime to be done and move on!
