Why Brock Lesnar is Really Absent from WWE Right Now?

Brock Lesnar was pulled from the Royal Rumble match despite being initially scheduled for the Tropicana Field event.

Lesnar has not appeared on WWE since losing to Cody Rhodes at Summerslam in August and was expected to make a massive return in the men’s Royal Rumble match in Saint Petersburg, Florida, on Saturday night.

1. Why is Brock Lesnar Missing From Action?

The Beast Incarnate has plenty of history in the 30-person battle royale match, and according to Dave Meltzer from the Wrestling Observer, he was penciled in to make an appearance.

However, he claims that Lesnar was ultimately removed in response to the Lawsuit filed by former WWE employee Janel Grant against Vince McMahon.

It’s alleged that McMahon sexually trafficked Grant to WWE employees and tried to set up a sexual encounter between her and a WWE superstar who was a heavyweight champion in UFC.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Lesnar has been identified as the wrestler involved. Interestingly, commentators did not mention him or feature him in a video highlighting previous Royal Rumble victors. At the last minute, the 46-year-old was replaced by up-and-coming talent Bron Breakker.

Meltzer said: “It knows most people know this, but Brock Lesnar was scheduled to return at the Rumble, and this was a change made because of the Lawsuit.

So, the change was made Friday, most likely Saturday morning.

Because the match was pretty much scripted out already, Bron Breakker fulfilled the Brock Lesnar role.

He came in when Brock Lesnar was going to come in, he threw out the guys Brock Lesnar was going to throw out, he got thrown out exactly how Brock Lesnar was going to get thrown out.”

In a stunning turn of events, Breakker entered the ring at the 20th spot and swiftly eliminated four formidable opponents within five minutes. However, his impressive run ended abruptly as he was ultimately stopped.

Meanwhile, Rhodes made a triumphant mark in history as he secured his second consecutive win in the match. Not only that, but he also boldly issued a challenge to WWE Universal champion Roman Reigns for another enthralling WrestleMania main event.

2. What Lawsuit has been filed against Vince McMahon?

Former WWE employee Janel Grant made several claims and filed a lawsuit after McMahon allegedly breached their previous NDA and stopped payments.

According to the Lawsuit covered by the Wall Street Journal, Vince McMahon used a particular employee.

He shared sexually explicit photos and videos of her with other members of the company, including a former UFC Heavyweight Champion, who ultimately remained with the promotion.

“In March 2020, McMahon began sharing sexually explicit photographs and videos of Ms. Grant (including pornographic content he recorded) with other men both inside and outside the company, including with members of the television production “tech” team, executive(s), producer(s), and a world-famous athlete and former UFC Heavyweight Champion with whom WWE was actively trying to sign to a new contract (and ultimately did sign that contract).”
