Why Is Everyone Getting A Refund For Pokemon Scarlet And Violet From Nintendo?

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have received a lot of hype from their fans, and their first-week sales have easily surpassed the first-week sales of Sword and Shield in a few days after the release.

However, just because a game is popular doesn’t mean it’s a perfect game. In fact, a lot of fans have been demanding a refund of their Scarlet and Violet copies.

Many Pokemon players are refunding their Scarlet and Violet copies because of the numerous bugs. The prolonged frame rate that takes ages to load, rendering issues, and characters glitching into each other are some bugs players have encountered.

Even the simple act of throwing a Pokeball has been wreaking havoc in the game by causing the entire scenery to turn black or white and disappear. However, some bugs have been quite welcome, such as the increased spawning of Shiny Pokemon.

How to request a refund for Scarlet and Violet from Nintendo?

Nintendo has a reputation for being difficult when it comes to approving refunds, but they have been a bit lenient toward refund requests for Scarlet and Violet due to the bugs. Many redditors on /r Pokemon have reported that their refund requests have been approved successfully.

Although, this doesn’t guarantee that you will get a refund. Moreover, you can only get a refund if you have bought the game on Nintendo eShop. You won’t get a refund if you have bought from a physical seller or other third-party sellers.

But you can still try to request one nonetheless by following the steps given below.

1. Visit the official Nintendo eShop website of your respective country.

2. Click on the ‘Support’ option.

Some players might avoid going down the ‘refund’ route since it’s too much of a hassle. But playing with glitches might still ruin your overall gameplay experience.

Unfortunately, these glitches can’t be fixed, but you can still reduce the frequency of their occurrence by following these tips.

  1. Restart the game every hour to avoid memory leaks.
  2. If your game experiences a bug, reload your last backup save by pressing d-pad + X + B.
  3. Turn on the ‘Autosave’ option.
  4. Avoid repeating the same action.
  5. If the game bugs too much, back up your data, delete the game and download it again.

However, I still suggest waiting for a future patch that will fix the issues before playing, because that will actually help you enjoy Scarlet and Violet at its best.
