The Flash movie has a shocking twist at the end when George Clooney shows up as Bruce Wayne. This was a surprise even for the creative team, which had tested several endings before finally running into this one.

The makers decided to bring back Clooney as the original Batman, even though they thought he might say no. However, Clooney liked the idea and agreed to film a short scene with Ezra Miller.

The studio was so confident about this ending that they didn’t even test it with audiences and kept it a secret until the very last moment.

The Flash movie follows Barry Allen as he travels back in time to save his mother from being killed, but he ends up changing the history of the DC universe. He meets different versions of his superhero friends, like Supergirl and Batman, played by Sasha Calle and Michael Keaton.

Barry tries to fix his mistakes and restore the timeline, but he doesn’t realize that he still altered something very significant.

The final scene reveals the surprise; Bruce Wayne is now George Clooney, and he comes and greets the Flash, leaving the audience in shock!

Fans were buzzing with anticipation when WB revealed that The Flash’s ending was a closely guarded secret until the movie hit the theaters.

This sparked rumors that the climax would pave the way for Gunn’s vision of the DC Universe in his upcoming Chapter One: Gods and Monsters. Gunn’s master plan for DC includes Superman: Legacy, which is currently looking for its cast, as well as Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.

Now, the report confirms that Clooney’s cameo is one of three possible endings for the movie and also gives more details about what the other endings could have been under different studio directions.

The first one, leaked through some set photos, showed Supergirl and Keaton’s Batman joining Barry outside the courthouse, suggesting that he did not fully fix the timeline as he had hoped.

The second one, which was reportedly never filmed, would have added Cavill’s Superman and Gadot’s Wonder Woman to the mix, along with Supergirl and Keaton’s Batman.

The DCU is going through a lot of shuffling lately, and Cavill and Calle are already out of the picture.

However, Gunn and his crew have a plan for The Flash movie that will keep the core idea of Barry messing up the timeline. A second Flash movie is already in the works, but it depends on how well the first one does.

Who knows, maybe Clooney’s surprise comeback as Batman will be more than just a nod to the fans and a game-changer for the DCU. Don’t miss this thrilling ride, especially with James Gunn at the helm of it all!
