After almost a decade of suffering delays, gameplay changes and multiple development changes, Dead Island 2 finally made its way to all platforms. Much like every other zombie game, Dead Island 2 features optional side missions which grant players powerful weapons when completed. My Mailman Was A Zombie is one such side mission in the game.
The special mailman keys can be found by locating three different packages around Bel-Air. These packages are located in GOAT Pen, Colt Swanson, both of which are in the Alpine Drive, and Mr. and Mrs. Doe.
Let’s take a look at the three locations where the packages can be found in order to complete My Mailman Was A Zombie side quest:
1. The GOAT Pen: 59 Alpine Drive
After entering the front door of the GOAT Pen, head to the front door located down the stairs. The package will be located just by the front door.
2. Colt Swanson: 70 Alpine Drive
The packages in this location will be right in front of a black fence.
3. Mr. and Mrs. Doe: 143 Glitterati Corner
This set of packages will be at the top of the driveway, near a concrete wall.
Once players have interacted with all the packages, Wayne, The Mailman who is a special zombie mini-boss, will appear at the final package location.
Defeat Wayne, The Mailman by aiming for the stomach in order to get critical hits. Watch out for the poisonous attacks as Wayne can spew out poisonous goop from close quarters and even at long range.
4. My Mailman Was A Zombie Quest Rewards
After defeating Wayne, players will get access to his special keys that will unlock the special chest. Travel back to the delivery truck where the side quest was activated and unlock the chest.
Unlocking the chest will reward players with Raven, a unique sharpshooter rifle which has an incredibly high damage along with perk Precision shots, which increases its damage after landing multiple shots in quick succession.
5. How to start My Mailman Was A Zombie side quest in Dead Island 2?
Players need to beat the main story and complete another side mission named #Clickbait in order to unlock My Mailman Was A Zombie side quest. Players will come across a delivery truck with the words Fastdel” on the side. This truck will be located in Alpine Drive.
A clipboard will be present on the road, right beside the truck. Interact with the clipboard in order to begin the Lost and Found quest called My Mailman was a Zombie.
