Season 6 of Young Sheldon has a lot of thrilling plotlines: Sheldon’s grant database, Georgie and Mandy’s baby, George Sr’s impending affair, Mary’s own illicit feelings about Pastor Rob… the list could go on!
The last thing you want is for the flow to get interrupted. Sadly, I have to inform you that there will be no new Young Sheldon episode airing this week day on February 23.
The show went on an unannounced break after Ep 13, which aired on February 16 and will only return on March 2.
1. Is Young Sheldon S6 on a break? Why?
Young Sheldon S6 has gone on hiatus after Ep 13 for two weeks. It will return with Ep 14 on March 2. No reason for the hiatus has been announced.
Young Sheldon S6 is lumbering on quite slowly and to make matters worse, it’s gone on a break again. This time as well, CBS has not put out any statements as to why there’s an impromptu hiatus mid-season.
The peculiar part is that there isn’t any special broadcast or TV programming that’s caused this break. In fact, an older episode of Young Sheldon (S6 Ep 5) will be running on February 23’s spot.
Well, at least we won’t have to wait for too long for a new episode!
2. Season 6, Episode 14 Synopsis/Speculation
Episode 14 is titled “A Launch Party and a Whole Human Being,” and as we know the title always gives us a clue about what’s going to happen in the episode.
After months of laboring, Mandy will finally give birth — So get ready to welcome, well, a whole human being. The teaser clip even shows how Sheldon straps on some gloves to help with the delivery.
Sheldon’s own personal storyline involving his grant database will also be depicted in this episode. As you may have guessed, he’ll be holding a party to celebrate the launch of his database. But does he really beat East Texas Tech or is there a nasty reveal waiting for all of us?
Oh, and I expect Missy to be grounded after last episode’s shenanigans.
3. Season 6 Episode 14 Release Date
Young Sheldon Season 6 Episode 14 titled, “A Launch Party and a Whole Human Being,” will release on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at 5:00 pm PDT.

5. Young Sheldon Season 6 Episode 13 Recap
The episode begins at the university with Sheldon encountering Paige, who is attending a frat party in his block. She confirms that she’s dropped out of her own school because of all the added pressure, expectations and horrible family life.
She forces Sheldon to go to a house party with her, where they both meet Missy, right after which Paige disappears. Back home, George Sr, Mary and Georgie figure out that Missy has lied to go to party, and the father-son duo ride around town trying to find her. George Sr and Georgie also have a talk on parenting methods which is just as endearing as it is funny.
Sheldon and Missy finally find Paige and take her back to Sheldon’s dorm. Missy promises Paige that she’ll always be there for her whenever she feels lonely. The next morning Missy returns home, to the combined relief and anger of George Sr and Mary.
In the secondary plotline, Dale and Connie debate about spending every night together, but finally conclude that their relationship can still thrive even if they spend the night apart.
6. About Young Sheldon
Young Sheldon is an American sitcom series for CBS, a spin-off of Big Bang Theory. It is created by Chuck Lorre and Steven Molaro.
It is set in the late 1980s and early 1990s, following the character Sheldon Cooper from the age of nine, going to high school. Iain Armitage plays young Sheldon, joined by Zoe Perry and Lance Barber as Mrs and Mr Cooper, and Montana Jordan and Raegan Revord as siblings Georgie and Missy respectively.
Jim Parsons, who stars as the adult Sheldon Cooper on The Big Bang Theory, narrates the series, also serving as an executive producer.
