Episode 3 Recap   

In episode 3 of “When Will Ayumu Make His Move?” Urushi tries to make Ayumu notice her new hairdo. It is noticed and complimented by Ayumu.

Usruhi compliments Takeru while playing shogi with him, but Sakurako gets in the way.

Ayumu shows jealousy as Sakurako takes Takeru away with her, saying that Urushi complimented him too much.

Sakurako tells Takeru that they must help Ayumu and Urushi at the library, prompting him to ask her whether she has any crushes. She asks him the same question after he denies it, and after lying and stating he doesn’t like anyone, they agree to assist each other out until and when they’ve found love.

Ayumu later asks Urushi out on a date. Ayumu searches for her during their cultural festival and finds her selling yakisoba after she does not decline. Ayumu assists Urushi when she declares that she will be free once she sells everything.

Urushi then agrees to the date, and they have a wonderful time at the festival. After Rin discovers and teases them, Urushi admits that it is her first date, but Ayumu expresses his delight at being her first date ever.

They then enter a scary mansion, and Urushi is startled when Ayumu takes her hand in hers. While hiding in the haunted home with Sakurako, Takeru grows scared and bursts out yelling, startling Urushi.

After that, when they were relaxing on a bench and playing shogi, Urushi expressed that she had a good time at the festival, causing Ayumu to ask her to address him by his first name, which embarrassed her. Then the episode concludes

When Will Ayumu Make His Move? is a manga series written and illustrated by Sōichirō Yamamoto. It has been serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine since March 2019, and an anime series adaptation by Silver Link is set to premiere in July 2022.
