This week’s episode was a detour from the quintessential narrative of Mythic Quest. The creators gifted us a Christmas special episode like other sitcoms like Abbott Elementary.
Christmas special episodes have always been iconic for workplace sitcoms. Sitcoms like The Office, Brooklyn Nine-Nine (Halloween Heist), etc., have capitalized on festivities and made them iconic in their own way. But one thing is common among them; the bosses try to be funny and lighten the mood but end up ruining everyone’s day!
In Mythic Quest this week, The employees are begrudgingly working even on Christmas eve so that the game servers don’t crash. David and Joe try to lighten the mood, but they are better off without the help.
Things take a turn for the worst when David realizes that the guys are having their own party at the GrimPop HQ.
So, without much ado, let us try to predict what will happen next week!
Season 3, Episode 7 Synopsis/Speculation
After the Christmas detour, the next episode will focus on other important matters. The narrative will return to the two main subjects of season 3, the Mythic Quest movie and GrimPop.
In last week’s episode, David begrudgingly appointed Ian as a consultant for the Mythic Quest movie. Given Ian’s over-enthusiasm and narcissism, I feel like the Mythic Quest movie will surely be a disaster.
The next episode will kickstart his journey toward ruining the movie. Watching the sheer stupidity of the characters surrounding the film will be painfully hilarious.
In the previous episodes, Poppy realized the potential of the Playpen. She will try to develop it further in the next episode, along with Ian. After the failure of Hera, she will not leave any stone unturned for Playpen to work.
Poppy and Ian will start pitching their ideas to various investors. This is another avenue for the creators to treat us with hilarious moments, much like in The Office, where Michael Scott completely ruins his pitches for the Michael Scott Paper Company.
Meanwhile, Rachel will soon realize that making friends is not her strength. She will learn it the hard way that she can’t please everyone in her new job role.

Mythic Quest Season 3, Episode 6 Recap
In this week’s episode, the employees are forced to work on Christmas Eve, so the game servers don’t crash. David and Joe try to lighten the mood, but the employees keep complaining.
Ian and Poppy organize a Christmas party to lighten the mood up. Joe gifts Poppy a thoughtful friendship necklace with a piece of metal from the car she crushed on their bonding day. Poppy becomes embarrassed as she doesn’t have a return gift.
Rachel launches a new feature, a Red Nose Reindeer package, enabling users to gain night vision for 24 hours.
It becomes an instant hit and makes the company over one million dollars.
David and Jo dress up for Christmas but find no one in the office. They realize that everyone is partying at GrimPop studios HQ, led by Ian and Poppy. David blasts at Ian and says the Christmas is canceled. He orders everyone to go back to work and tears up the decoration.
On Christmas morning, David finds that the employees have redecorated the office with artificial snow and a giant Christmas tree. Poppy also makes Jo her own video game which pleases her greatly.
They all start singing together, and the episode ends on a happy and Christmas-y note.
Next week’s episode will unfold many things about the future of Playpen and Mythic Quest movie.
Hopefully, the creators will be able to capitalize on the perfect juxtaposition of the subplots and take the story forward.
