Here’s What Bunny’s Parrot Mrs. Gambolini Knows about her Murder

The season premiere of Only Murders in the Building Season 2 introduced us to a brand-new character, Mrs Gambolini. She is Bunny’s pet parrot and can talk. There’s a chance that the bird might know something about her owner’s murder. 

The season premiere began as expected, with Charles, Oliver and Mabel being taken into police custody for questioning. Though they return after interrogation, they still remain suspects for Bunny’s murder. 

In an attempt to find out who the real killer is, the trio breaks into Bunny’s apartment in the Arconia and discovers some major hints, which could lead them to their answer. At first, Mabel and Oliver heard a voice eerily similar to Bunny’s voice, which made them follow it. 

Slowly, it led them to Bunny’s former apartment. They entered the apartment through the ducts and discovered that it was not Bunny, but her pet parrot who was unexpectedly talking. 

Bunny’s pet parrot is called Mrs. Gambolini. Though it is not clear whether the parrot actually saw anything or knows anything, she will surely be important to the investigation, considering that she was always in the apartment. 

The bird could be seen in a beautiful cage in the living room of Bunny’s apartment. So, if anything strange took place in that apartment, or Bunny had a conversation with someone significant, there is a chance the parrot heard it and could repeat it at some point. 

In the season premiere, the parrot repeated various phrases that we’ve seen Bunny use pretty often in the previous season, such as “Get out” and “Stuff it up your ass”, so it is clear that she could pick up phrases she heard often. 

According to Oliver, Bunny got the yellow-headed Amazonian decades ago when keeping birds as pets was a trend. Mabel also observes that the bird has Bunny’s “potty mouth”, indicating that she is equally rude. 

The season premiere also introduced other new characters, such as Alice and Amy Schumer, who will play important parts this season. More about Bunny’s murder mystery will unfold with the upcoming episodes.
