Mushoku Tensei Light Novel to End Soon; When will the anime end?

Mushoku Tensei gave us one of the best isekai worlds, and a single anime season was enough to move fans. The series started as a novel, and it currently has 25 volumes. Despite its legendary plot, every good thing comes to an end, and so will Mushoku Tensei.

Of course, the novel’s ending will affect the anime, but how soon? ‘Not anytime soon’ is the answer, but let’s get into further details of the series now.

The official website of Kadokawa listed volume 26 of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation as its final volume. The main plot of the series will “finally end in volume 26!”

Since the novel is coming to an end, naturally, it will affect the anime and manga adaptations.

The Mushoku Tensei anime has received a single season so far, with 23 episodes, distributed into two cours. A new OVA was also released for the anime.

Season 1 of Mushoku Tensei adapted six volumes of the original novel. Since volume 26 is the last installment, that leaves 20 volumes that are yet to be adapted. Three more seasons can easily fit in because of the vast amount of material left. There is also a high chance for the anime to receive a movie adaptation in between.

Its manga adaptation has 16 volumes so far and has a few more installments to go before it can end.

Of course, the series as a whole is nowhere near ending since it has countless spinoffs. I bet all of them will also get slowly adapted into mini anime series, so I don’t think you have to worry about missing Mushoku Tensei any time soon

The light novel series wreaked havoc, and it was a success; soon after, i.e., in May 2014, Media Factory started serialization in its magazine ‘Monthly Comic Flapper’. Many spin-off manga have been launched that connect with the same universe.

After more than half a decade, the light novel series was adapted into an anime television series by Studio Bind in 2021.
