Demon Slayer became immensely popular ever since its film Mugen Train hit the theatres. Gaining global recognition, the saga of Tanjiro Kamado and his friends broke records for every anime film ever released in the west.

The manga ended peacefully with the world finally free of demons, although the price paid for that freedom was too high. Our favorites dying with a smile on their faces made us cry rivers, but in the end, it was all worth it.

And to celebrate the end of this heroic tale, Viz Media is offering a free preview of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba volume 23 on their website.

The preview includes a thank you note from the author Koyoharu Gotouge with the volume cover featuring Tanjiro and Nezuko Kamado.

As you go further, there is another illustration of the late Kamado family which honestly made me a little bit emotional. *continues to cry my eyes out*

After that, there is a page containing all the characters’ profiles that are in the volume. It goes on to show a panel of Tamayo and Muzan as well.

The volume starts with the ongoing gruesome battle against Muzan’s demonic form. Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu are running on sheer willpower to keep Muzan engaged.

While Inosuke is giving it his all as Tanjiro is injured, Zenitsu gathers his strength to assist his friend. The preview ends there on a cliffhanger right when the thunder user is about to be in action.

The sun shone upon our heroes, quite literally, and ended the century-long battle between the Slayer Corps and Muzan.

Although the chapters instilled a lot of pain upon us as they kept progressing, it was an oddly satisfying end to the story. And we still have the anime to look forward to, and I can’t wait until the battle is animated.

There was still a little bit of trouble after that, but you’ll have to read the manga to find that out.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotoge. Its publication in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump began in February 2016 and ended in May 2020 with 23 collected tankōbon volumes.

In a world filled with demons and demon slayers, Kimetsu no Yaiba follows the lives of two siblings Tanjiro and Nezuko Kamado after— the murder of their family at the hands of a demon. Their hardship does not end there, as Nezuko’s life is spared only for her to live as a demon.

As the oldest sibling, Tanjiro vows to protect and cure his sister. The story traces the bond of this brother-sister or better yet, demon slayer and demon combo against the odds of an arch antagonist and the society.
