Vermeil in Gold just finished its first season. I do think the last episode was rushed, and quite predictable, and the final fight with Lolite was pretty underwhelming.
The rom-com side to this show did make up for it, though, I liked how Vermeil and Alto are so in love. The finale has left some fans wondering whether there will be a season 2. If there is, they will most likely wait for more manga material to adapt. Here are the latest updates.
Episode 13 Speculation
Vermeil in Gold ended with episode 12, and it seems like there are few chances of getting a second season since season 1 ends with the beginning of volume 5. There are six volumes out so far which is not enough content for a new season.
I hope the next season lives up to expectations with its love story. Alto Goldfilled, Lilia Kudelfate, and the titular demon Vermeil will travel to the spiritual state of Antrea on a mission with the Ortigia Academy of Magic’s Student Council in the upcoming season.

Episode 12 Recap
A huge goldem is summoned by Iolite, and he says Vermeil’s only purpose is to destroy the world, but our heroes combine their powers to destroy the golem. A gateway allows Heliodor and Iolite to flee after she states she can no longer sustain the space warp.
The Mage of the Beginning, according to Vermeil, is Fatema. Alto is urged to take care of Vermeil by Fatema, who describes Vermeil as a close friend.
Fatema then fixes the structure before vanishing. Later, Alto receives fencing and martial arts instruction from Jessica and Chris in an effort to grow stronger so he can defend Vermeil.
Due to his inexperience and lack of strength, he is easily defeated in sparring, but he strives to get better. Vermeil declares her love for him in bed. They all concur when Elena states in a student council meeting that they must band together to stop these assaults.
All three of Lilia’s test takers—Marx, Cheryl, and them—passed, but when Alto doesn’t appear, Lilia becomes suspicious that he might be seeing Vermeil. Indeed, they kiss in public as they celebrate their love and commitment to one another.
