Episode 11 Preview And Speculation    

I always had the feeling that Lord Ruthven is involved in something sketchy, and the previous episode confirmed that my suspicion wasn’t wrong.

Episode 11, titled “Promise,” will tell us more about Ruthven’s actual motive behind supporting Moreau.

He is also involved in the appearance of Charlatan in the banquet since the masked person who came alongside is later seen working under Ruthven.

From the title, it’s clear that the episode will mainly revolve around Vanita’s relation with his old friend (the one referred to as no. 71) and their tragic past. We will finally get to know the bond they shared and how they parted ways.

Episode 11 Release Date

Episode 11 of the The Case Study of Vanitas anime, titled “Promise”, has been released on Saturday, Sep 11, 2021.

Since this anime runs on a weekly schedule, new episode releases are seven days apart.

Episode 10 Recap          

In Episode 10, Vanitas, Noe, and Roland walk right into Dr. Moreau’s research lab, claiming that they have come here to assist him in his research. Moreau falls into the trap and subconsciously spills a lot of valuable information.

He was always fascinated by the idea of becoming a vampire someday, so he joined the Chasseurs for his selfish motives. He proudly narrates how he used to perform experiments on Vanitas and many other test subjects that he captured.

But one day, the Vampire of the Blue Moon invaded his research center and took away some of his best specimens, including Vanitas. He also mentions another test subject, no. 71, who was like Vanitas’ little brother.

Before Moreau could bring back more of Vanitas’ past trauma, Noe intervenes in the conversation and smashes him over his study table. Soon, a fight breaks out between Moreau’s men and the Chasseurs.

Remember the masked person who came alongside Charlatan in the banquet? It seems that he is much more dangerous than we thought, as he shows up right in time and escapes with the doctor.

He even destroyed the laboratory and everything in it and left behind a rampaging curse bearer for Noe to deal with. The final moments show that Lord Ruthven is the one pulling strings from the dark.

The Case Study of Vanitas manga is created by Jun Mochizuka. It started serialization in the Monthly Gangan Joker magazine in December 2015. It is receiving an anime adaptation in July 2021.

Noe, a young vampire, is in search of a cursed book called The Book of Vanitas. However, on his flight to Paris, he comes face to face with Vanitas and realizes that he is a self-proclaimed vampire doctor.

Somehow Noe ends up as Vanitas’ partner to heal vampires who are going feral under an evil influence.
