Valorant, launched in 2020 by Riot Games, has been a great success with a dedicated player base and many competitions that showcase the massive player count and the viewership for the title.

For the first time since Valorant’s release in 2020, Riot Games is releasing a new weapon as a part of Episode 8 Act 1. The new gun, titled “Outlaw,” is a double-barreled sniper that Is a two-shot weapon, allowing the player to keep aim when fired. It is priced at 2400 credits in the pre-round item shop.

The price point for Outlaw is between the other two sniper rifles available in-game – the Marshal, which is priced at 950, and the Operator, which is priced at 4700.

The Operator is super powerful and quite potent for one-shot-kills and is priced at a premium of 4700. While it’s impractical for most rounds, it is seen more in the third or later rounds, where 50 shields are active and the Marshal has 101 body damage.

However, dying with the Operator means that 4700 credits are wasted. As a result, the Outlaw rests in the sweet spot, ensuring appropriate damage is dealt with.

Twitch Streamer tested out the weapon on trial and found out the damage that it deals. Outlaw boasts an intense hip fire without a scope and has a high wall penetration capability.

Outlaw deals 140 damage to the body, which is ten less than Operator’s, but is quite reasonable given it costs around half the amount at just 2400 credits. This is the reason that fans are so excited about this new weapon.

Valorant’s Game Product Management’s Senior Manager Coleman Palm also explained that the developers hesitated to add a new weapon for about four years.

This is primarily because they feared new weapons had no solid reason to exist.

It will be interesting to see how players use this weapon and its impact on Valorant’s gaming community. Outlaw will give players much freedom, and new tactics will be doing internet rounds soon.
