Watch Out! Chucky Returns for Season 3 Very Soon!

Syfy and USA Network just renewed Chucky for season 3. The horror series follows a fourteen-year-old Jake and his doll Chucky. Jake Picks up the doll in a local yard sale, and it starts committing a series of murders in Hackensack and New Jersey.

Premiering back in 2021, the show serves as a sequel to 2017’s Cult of Chucky. It has largely garnered positive views from critics and fans, gaining extra brownie points for the return of Brad Dourif as Chucky/Charles Lee Ray.

Following the closure of season 2, fans were wondering about the future of the franchise.

And they got their answer in the most typical ‘Chucky’ way possible. Read the tweet below:

According to Collider, the horror series has already been renewed for a third season. USA Network and Syfy broke the news to the public at the Television Critics Association’s 2023 Winter Press Tour.

Creator Mancini stated that the upcoming season would be the scariest one yet and thanked the fans for their continuous support. Read his comments below:

The cast and crew of ‘Chucky’ would like to thank fans and critics alike for their overwhelming response to season two, which we’re delighted to announce has now spurred the official greenlight on season three. This news has made Chucky very happy. Thank Damballa for that because otherwise Chucky would have been frankly impossible to deal with. Many thanks also to our partners at SYFY, USA and UCP for helping us keep Chucky busy. See you in 2023 for what Chucky himself promises will be his scariest season ever.

So, what to expect from Season 3?

Watch Out! Chucky to Return For Season 3 Very Soon!
Chucky

The biggest cliffhanger of season 2 is that Chucky is still alive. After her mother’s death, Lexy uses a chainsaw on Chucky, but he still survives. They inform Miss Fairchild about Chucky but soon realize that something is horribly wrong. Tiffany tries to possess Belle after being threatened by Nica, but it is revealed to be Chucky.

The premiere date of Chucky season 3 hasn’t been revealed yet, but fans can expect to see the nefarious doll returning by this year’s fall. There won’t be much change in the cast, which would include Dourif, Arthur, Arnarson, and Lind. Briggs could have a more significant role moving forward. While the chances of Tiffany surviving till season 3 are slim, we expect her to be back, especially after her exchange with Nica.

The doll will likely continue targeting kids in the city, especially Glen and Glenda. Season 2 ends with Chucky claiming that they ‘need to be punished’. So, the chances of them coming back for season 3 are slim.

Caroline will also be heavily involved in the upcoming season. She seems to be delighted with the evil doll’s return and is thoroughly possessed by Chucky.

Season 3 will surely one-up its predecessors if what the makers are saying is true. Given that Chucky season 2 earned the franchise’s highest Rotten Tomatoes score, season 3 should be just as entertaining, if not more!
