Urusei Yatsura Episode 24 Release Date, Speculations, Watch Online

All five women won the competition in episode 23 of Urusei Yatsura, titled “Title Match!! The Tomo-1 Queen Contest.”

It was a fun and hilarious last episode. The competition was weird, but that was the whole point of it. The girls had to give various tests, which turned into chaos.  

This marks the end of this cour of the anime, and now there is a long wait before the second part comes out.

The first cour of Urusei Yatsura ends with episode 23. We must wait until next season to enjoy this comedy anime again. The story will continue, although nothing in the anime can be called a plot.

It will still be fun to see all those crazy moments and use them to pass some time. However, I hope we see some development and plot in the next part.

4. Episode 23 Recap

The competition continues to decide who is the queen of the school. The first challenge for the final round is to test the contestants’ general knowledge. 

Ryunosuke wins this round by guessing what was inside the box kept before them. She wins the next round as well. However, Sakura won the next round, which was an eating contest. 

It was time for the last round, and Ataru told the girls to change their costumes. It was a test of physical strength, and Ataru pitched the girls to fight in a ring.

When the girls get together, Ran gets worried that she is the weakest. So she kisses everyone on the ring to distract them and take away their energy.

However, they had to fight some wild beasts and not each other. Lum easily defeats one, but Sakura and Shinobu can’t muster the strength. Mendo intervenes with a weird costume and tries to help them but fails miserably. 

The ring turns into chaos, but ultimately, Ran decides to return everyone’s energy, and they all defeat the wild beasts. 

Ataru declares that it is a team victory. The price turns out to be fish cookies. The rest of the cast joins the party, and Ataru enjoys hefty cash. 

Ataru and Lum end up in a romantic position, and Lum asks him if she has become the queen of his heart. Before Ataru can respond, Sakura and Shinobu attack him, and Lum follows them.

6. About Urusei Yatsura

Urusei Yatsura is a manga series by Rumiko Takahashi. It has a total of 374 chapters and was published from 1978 to 1987. Its anime adaptation received 195 episodes from 1981 to 1986. A new anime adaptation with selected stories began airing in October 2022.

In the series, a humanoid alien race invades the Earth but agrees that if the protagonist wins in a game of tag, they will leave it unharmed. Ataru wins against the alien girl, Lum.

Lum misunderstands and thinks Ataru is proposing marriage, and starts living with him and joins his high school. Ataru is a trouble magnet and gets stuck in weird situations pretty often.
