The school teachers try to stop off-campus snacking in episode 13 of Urusei Yatsura, titled “The Great off-campus Snack Battle, A Gift from Ten!!.”

It was a hilarious episode. The first half was the highlight with all the mess that was created by the teachers and students just for snacks. The ways the teachers used to stop the students were all funny, and it was a highly entertaining first half.

The second half was also filled with chaos and confusion as the female characters of the anime got to know about their destined ones, but it was all a misunderstanding.

It looks like we will meet a new character in episode 14 of Urusei Yatsura, titled “That Mizunokoji Boy, Love Letter Trouble!”

The recent episodes have been nothing less than hilarious. Now, we are getting a new character, and it has been quite some time since we got a new character. I am excited to see who that boy is.

It seems like there will be another misunderstanding in the next episode. Ataru might get a letter from some girl, which will create a lot of trouble for him and Lum.

Episode 13 Recap

The teachers have planned not to let students break the snacking rule by eating from outside. For this, they have deployed teachers on various popular snacking points.

Ataru and the rest of the students are also ready to retaliate and eat outside. During the lunch break, Mendo, with the members of Covert Civility Patrol, stops students from going outside the school.

Still, some students manage to escape, but the teachers make sure that the students don’t get to eat. Chaos ensues, and the teachers try all sorts of ways to stop the students from snacking off-campus.

Students also fight back, and this leads to lots of hilarious moments. However, at the end of the day, the battle ends with a draw.

Ataru is annoyed by everyone’s love for Ten. Sakura, Ran, Shinobu, and Lum are seating in a restaurant with Ten, where Ten gives Sakura a small ball that tells someone about their destined one. 

Shinobu is surprised to see the guy will marry. Lum sees Rei, and Ran sees Ataru. Sakura is not interested in all this nonsense. Shinobu actually saw Tsubame, Sakura’s fiance.

When Sakura sees inside the ball, she sees Mendo and Ataru. She was left in utter shock. Everyone starts to panic when Mendon, Ataru, and Tsubame show up.

It is revealed that the ball was a fake one and that ball is actually used to create chaos.

About Urusei Yatsura

Urusei Yatsura is a manga series by Rumiko Takahashi. It has a total of 374 chapters and was published from 1978 to 1987. Its anime adaptation received 195 episodes from 1981 to 1986. A new anime adaptation with selected stories began airing in October 2022.

In the series, a humanoid alien race invades the Earth but agrees that if the protagonist wins in a game of tag, they will leave it unharmed. Ataru wins against the alien girl, Lum.

Lum misunderstands and thinks Ataru is proposing marriage, and starts living with him and joins his high school. Ataru is a trouble magnet and gets stuck in weird situations pretty often.
