Urusei Yatsura Ep 11 Release Date, Speculations, Watch Online

Lum’s mother appears in episode 10 of Urusei Yatsura, titled “Parent Day Horror/ Since Your Parting Parent’s Day Horror/ Since Your Parting.”

She caused quite a ruckus and ended up in a rift against Mendo’s mother. They both wasted the first half of the episode in their useless fight that amounted to nothing.

In the next episode, we finally see some development of Ataru as Lum leaves Earth to renew her passport. Everyone is shocked and speculates that she dumped him. Even Ataru is sad about her leaving, but everything turns to its usual self by the end.

Episode 11 Speculations

We will meet Mendo’s siblings in episode 11 of Urusei Yatsura, titled “Mendo Sibilings!! A Strange New Year at the Mendo Estate.”

The next episode will also introduce some new characters in the show. We didn’t know that Mendo had siblings, so it will be fun to see how their encounter with Ataru and Lum will turn out.

We will also see a new year party at Mendo’s estate. It’s new year’s time, so we are getting an episode based on the new year’s celebration. Having all the characters in one place will surely bring chaos and fun.

Episode 10 Recap

Ataru’s mom reluctantly shows up at the parents-teachers meeting. She meets Shinobu’s mother outside. A lady shows up in a cart, followed by someone else showing up in a spaceship.

The lady in the cart was Mendo’s mother, and the lady in the spaceship was Lum’s mother. Mendo’s mother is quite displeased that Lum’s mother destroyed her cart.

Lum is delighted to see her mother after a long time. Mendo also shows up. His mother tells him to tell Lum and her mother that they will pay for the disgrace they caused her. Lum mistranslates everything.

Mendo’s mother now wants to have a duel with Lum’s mother, who misinterprets it as a proposal to marry Mendo. The meeting ends peacefully.

Ataru doesn’t get late for school anymore, thanks to Lum. In school, Lum sews a gift for Ataru and expresses her worry about him as he always does stupid things when she is not watching.

Ataru starts to get annoyed by her and calls her a pain in the ass at night. Lum says goodbye and leaves. The next morning, Ataru is late for school as Lum doesn’t come to wake him up.

She doesn’t show up at school. Ataru finds her present on his table. The same thing continues for the next three days, as nobody gets to see Lum. Mendo and Ataru end up arguing, and everyone is shocked to learn that she has disappeared.

Mendo starts finding her with the help of his police force. Nobody can find her anywhere. Ataru gets frustrated and starts running around the places they made memories together.

He gets very sad that she left him. In reality, she just left Earth to renew her passport. She hears Ataru crying over the radio and is happy to hear that. The next day, she shows up as her usual self. 

About Urusei Yatsura

Urusei Yatsura is a manga series by Rumiko Takahashi. It has a total of 374 chapters and was published from 1978 to 1987. Its anime adaptation received 195 episodes from 1981 to 1986. A new anime adaptation with selected stories began airing in October 2022.

In the series, a humanoid alien race invades the Earth but agrees that if the protagonist wins in a game of tag, they will leave it unharmed. Ataru wins against the alien girl, Lum.

Lum misunderstands and thinks Ataru is proposing marriage, and starts living with him and joins his high school. Ataru is a trouble magnet and gets stuck in weird situations pretty often.
