Episode 12 Speculation
Episode 12, titled “Clumsy Smile,” will continue with Uramichi’s daily life in Together with Mama’s set, thereby showing how he gets along with the children and his colleagues.
The “smile” referred to in the title can be of Uramichi himself, since he always gets tired at work and yet he never fails to fake a smile before the director.
It may also mean everyone in general, portraying how a clumsy smile is the only emotion they express these days.

Episode 11 Recap
In Episode 11, Uramichi is seen suffering from a severe neck pain, which he is trying to hide at any cost. He must have snapped his neck while asleep, and now even the slightest neck movement has become an ordeal.
The situation turns out to be Uramichi’s worst nightmare when the director asks him to reshoot the explaining scene of Left Right man.
As you can already guess from the name, Left Right man teaches children how to cross roads safely, so neck movements while playing this character is unavoidable.
With great difficulty, Uramichi somehow survives the shooting. Not only that, his new character gets so popular among children that the sales team has to come up with new merchandise exclusively for Left Right man.
Later, Uramichi visits Kikaku to return some of the extra action figures of Left Right man that he received. Here, Kikaku narrates his tragic life story of how all his dreams shattered one after another.
Kikaku initially dreamt of becoming a singer, but his brand broke because the members had other ambitions to follow. Later, his girlfriend broke up with him, saying that she wasn’t ready for kids and all.
Adding salt to the injury, Kikaku got the news of her having kids with some guy she met on Facebook just a few months later. She never talked to him again, till recently when she texted after years, asking for passes of Together with Mama for her kid.
The story startles Uramichi for a second as if he could relate to every part of it. He seems to understand Kikaku a lot better now, and has also grown respect for him.
Can these two ever get along in the future? We have to wait for the upcoming episodes to find out.

Life Lessons of Uramichi-Oniisan is a manga by Gaku Kuze. It was released in 2017 in the Comic POOL digital manga magazine.
Uramichi is a 31-year-old man who works at a broadcasting company. He is in charge of a physical exercises block for a children’s educational channel.
However, his sad and realistic personality seeps through his fake smile. He advises the kids on grave adult matters out of the blue as the kids struggle to understand what is being said to them.
