Rockstar Games announces trailer release window for upcoming GTA title

It’s the festive season, and good news is on the way. Players and fans of the Grand Theft Auto franchise have been given something to rejoice because of an announcement by developers Rockstar Games.

Sam Houser, Co-Founder of Rockstar Games, tweeted that on the eve of the 25th Anniversary, in early December, they will release the first trailer for the upcoming Grand Theft Auto title.

Fans of the franchise were getting impatient, given that Grand Theft Auto V came out in 2013. One decade and two PlayStations later, Rockstar Games finally seems to lift the lid on the next GTA title.

However, one thing that irked many fans is that Rockstar Games announced the upcoming trailer as the “next” Grand Theft Auto title. This indicates that the probable name for the title will not be Grand Theft Auto VI.

In the same thread, Sam Houser also mentioned that the idea behind the conception of Rockstar Games was to make video games “essential to culture as any other form of entertainment.”

Some fans are disappointed that the announcement did not include a solid release date. One speculated date is the day of the Game Awards 2023 on December 7th.

Rockstar is expected to use this big platform to launch the upcoming Grand Theft Auto title trailer. This is consistent with several leaks spotted in the past few months.

The next GTA title, which fans call GTA VI, will have a revamped water physics, thanks to the in-house Rage Engine, and will feature dynamic weather in Vice City.

With two protagonists – a man and a woman – this title is sure to revolutionize the gaming industry as a whole, and as a result, it will be a stepping stone to the future. The wait is almost over, and we will soon know what this title entails.
