Undead Unluck Ep 2 Release Date, Speculation, Watch Online

Fuuko has a fated encounter with Andy in episode 1 of Undead Unluck titled “Undead and Unluck.”

Struggling with a life where anybody who touches her is killed, Fuuko decides to end her own life. However, before she can jump off the railway tracks, Andy interferes. He shows her his ability, which is to never die and realizes that her ability may be the answer to his problem.

Before they can adequately experiment and talk about their lives, their meeting is interrupted by a group of men in suits trying to capture Andy. However, Fuuko comes to the rescue with Unluck.

1. Episode 2 Release Date

Episode 2 of Undead Unluck will be released on Saturday, October 13, 2023. It is a weekly anime, and new episodes are released every Tuesday. You can watch Undead Unluck anime on Hulu

No, episode 2 of Undead Unluck is not on a break this week. The episode will be released on the above-stated date.

2. Episode 2 Speculation

Fuuko and Andy can now properly talk and experiment with their abilities since they defeated the group of people trying to capture Andy. However, there are probably many more attacks incoming that they will have to evade.

The next episode may introduce more characters with unique abilities, as teased in the trailer. Andy is yet to reveal his backstory and the true essence of his powers. We only know that he has lived a very long life, but it could be decades or even centuries. His story will likely be explored, too, probably once Fuuko asks.

3. Recap of Episode 1

Through an extreme blizzard, a girl struggles through the snow but still carries on forward. A boy in the snow tells her to stop and grabs her closer. Fuuko closes the manga and realizes that her favorite series has now come to an end. Now that it’s over, it’s time for her to end her life too.

She stands at the edge of the railway line, and Andy tells her to stop. Fuuko threatens him by saying that if he touches her, he’ll get an incurable disease. Andy casually approaches her and grabs her face, laughing at her threat.

The floor below him breaks open, and he falls onto an oncoming train. Fuuko cries after seeing his gruesome death because of her Unluck ability. Out of nowhere, Andy’s decapitated head comes flying to her and begins regenerating the rest.

They leave the area, jump through many buildings, and eventually reach a rooftop. Fuuko begins talking about her past; her parents had kissed her before going on a plane. Because they touched her directly, the Unluck triggered and caused the plane to explode in flames.

Andy is ecstatic on hearing this and realizes that if he figures out the ability, he could probably find a way to kill himself. He takes her to their hideout and, in a brawl, uncovers her incredibly long hair. In a fifteen-minute process of direct contact, Andy gives Fuuko a new haircut.

At the end of the contract, A group of men in suits capture Andy after cutting his head off. Luckily for them, Fuuko’s ability only triggers after he gets caught and a lightning bolt strikes the person holding Andy’s head. He escapes and kills the rest of the group.  

The leader holds Fuuko hostage and demands that Andy hand over his head for her life. He cuts it off and agrees to his demands. Before the head reaches his hands, Fuuko kisses it on the cheek. This activates the biggest possible stroke of Unluck, bringing down a massive meteor from the sky.

Undead Unluck is a manga series written and illustrated by Yoshifumi Tozuka. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump since January 2020. As of May 2023, it is collected into 16 volumes.

The story follows Fuuko Izumo who has the ability to bring bad luck to anyone she touches. Tormented by her ability, she decides to commit suicide but fate intervenes when she meets Andy, an undead person who wishes for the ‘best death.’ The pair joins the mysterious organization, Union, which consists of people like Fuuko and Andy, and go on missions given by a book called ‘Apocalypse.’
