Nakaba Suzuki, the creator of the hugely popular anime series ‘The Seven Deadly Sins,’ had previously written a manga titled ‘Rising Impact’ in the late 1990s. Although it had gained a devoted following and a cult fan base, it had never been adapted. However, Netflix has now decided to bring it to life.
The manga tells the story of Gawain, who becomes enamored with golf and decides to pursue it with all his might. However, he soon realizes it won’t be easy to compete against the more seasoned and influential players.
Netflix revealed the key visual and premiere dates for the two seasons of ‘Rising Impact’ anime. The first season will start streaming on the service on June 22, 2024, followed by the second on August 6, 2024.
The main focus of the visuals in golf were Gawain and Lancelot. At the same time, the characters of Tristan Liones, a student at the Camelot Academy Overseas School, and Questor Phoenix were introduced.

Rising Impact is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Nakaba Suzuki. It was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump from November 1998 to February 2002. An original net animation adaptation produced by Lay-duce is set to premiere on Netflix in June 2024.
A young boy, Gawain, lives in a mountainous, rural area with an incredible love for baseball and making the ball fly. One day, he runs into a visitor of a small size, and she introduces him to a sport that can make a ball take flight: golf! It just takes one shot, and Gawain is hooked.
With his grandpa’s approval, he sets off to Tokyo with this mysterious woman to learn all he can about golf, encountering many colorful characters and obstacles.
