Crunchyroll to Screen ‘Trigun Stampede’ Episode 1 at Anime NYC

Vash the Stampede is back with his misadventures and the infamous bounty of $6 million in the new ‘Trigun Stampede’ anime.

The story may be different from the original one, but it sure looks promising enough to create a buzz in the otaku community. As usual, Crunchyroll is handling its distribution and has planned a little treat for us this month.

Crunchyroll will host the world premiere of ‘Trigun Stampede’ by screening its first episode at Anime NYC on November 18, 2022.

As seen in the trailers and promos, the show is set in No Man’s Land and retains Vash’s kind and goofy personality. It also has Vash’s brother Million Knives, Nicholas D. Wolfwood, and Meryl Stryfe from the original story.

The major difference between the old and new series is that Meryl’s partner Milly Thompson is replaced by a new character, Roberto de Niro. Besides, Meryl’s job is changed from an insurance agent to a rookie journalist under Roberto looking for a big scoop.

While looking for a story that will solidify her as a serious reporter, Meryl and Roberto stumble across Vash. The pair discover that, unlike what the rumors and reports say, Vash is a good-natured gunfighter who ‘never kills people.’

The trio then encounters an undertaker Nicholas D. Wolfwood, who is searching for Vash’s evil brother, Million Knives. After hearing that Knives has a dreadful plan underway, the group’s journey begins to stop him and his wicked deeds.
