A new promotional video for the ‘Oi! Tonbo’ anime was revealed. The anime is scheduled for April 2024.
In the trailer, we are introduced to a cheerful character named Tonbo. Following that, we are shown some stunning scenery of the Tokara Islands. Later, we catch a glimpse of the main character, Igarashi, who is leaving his past behind in hopes of starting anew.

About Oi! Tonbo
Oi! Tonbo is a manga series written by Ken Kawasaki and illustrated by Yuu Furusawa. It was launched in August 2024 in the Weekly Gold Digest, a golf magazine published by Golf Digest Sha Co., Ltd.
Igarashi, a pro golfer gets disqualified because of an incident. He steps away from the limelight and moves to Tokara Islands in the Kagoshima Prefecture. He comes across a naive girl Tonbo, who seems to have a natural talent for golf.
He realizes that the islands, known as Japan’s last unexplored wilderness, also have a homemade golf course. Tonbo can play every shot with her 3-iron, which amazes Igarashi but also fills him with doubt.
