Tower of God is approaching the end of its first season. Fans have been waiting for the climax of the arc with enthusiasm, but of course, the last episode will bring with it the heartbreak of the anime’s end.
Which is exactly why the team behind the Tower of God have come up with an excellent plan to keep the thrill going. LINE Webtoon has announced the opening of a fanart campaign for the webtoon based anime.
This campaign/contest is a great way for the creators behind TOG to thank fans for their appreciation and support towards the anime and webtoon.
This “Global Fanart Contest” will be held for fans in Japan, Europe, America, and some other countries. Organizers vary from region to region so click here to know more about applications in your area.
“Regulars” (winners) will be chosen from the submitted illustrations by the author and illustrator of TOG, SIU, and by character designers of the anime, Masashi Kudo and Miho Tanino.
Those who will be selected as Regulars will have the chance to receive customized illustrations of the Tower of God characters according to any scenario that they request. These illustrations will be personally made by SIU, Masashi Kudo, and Miho Tanino.
The winners of the contest will receive a DM through Twitter to their personal accounts. In order to receive the DM, follow the official Twitter account of TOG. Click here to reach the official Twitter account. You can also allow the DM of this account through settings.
The time limit for the submission of the illustrations is 8th June to 22nd June 2020. So rush back to your art stash and start working on your unique illustration to grab the SIU’s attention.
Theme
The TOG team supports the free-flowing imagination. Thus, all kinds of illustrations will be accepted as long as it includes TOG characters.
In order to submit your art:
- Tweet the illustration with #tog_fanart along with #JP for Japanese fans and #CR for illustrations from other countries.
- The tweet should contain the character names (maximum 3) and the scenario to draw them in. ( In case the illustration wins)
- Add #tog or #towerofgod to help other TOG fans find the illustrations.
Prizes for the contest are:
- 1st Grand Prize (Global, 1 person): Customised illustration by SIU and work will be published on anime and webtoon related websites and SNS.
- 2nd Prize (Global, 2 people): Customised illustration by Masashi Kudo or Miho Tanino and work will be published on anime and webtoon related websites and SNS.
- Japan Special Prize (only for those in Japan): work will be published on anime and webtoon related websites.

About Tower of God
Tower of God is a South Korean Webtoon written and drawn by Lee Jong-hui, also known by the pen-name SIU.
The story revolves around a boy named Bam. Bam only has one person that he loves and cares about, and that is his friend Rachel. When Rachel goes into the tower, Bam follows her. Rachel vanishes, and thus Bam starts his journey to get her back.
