Sasuke Uchiha, one of the key characters in Naruto, is known for his intense story that fans love. Starting out as a talented but distant ninja, Sasuke yearned to avenge his family, who were killed by his brother, Itachi. He eventually met Naruto and picked up a few good ideals on strength and friendship on the way.
Later in the story, Sasuke gets involved in unforgettable fights, like his showdowns with Itachi and Naruto. However, Sasuke’s story is about his emotions and his search for who he really is. His moments in Naruto aren’t just exciting- they’re also deeply emotional tales of self-discovery where Sasuke finds the place he belongs to.
10 Sasuke’s First Feature in Naruto Shippuden
During the Sasuke retrieval mission, the first arc in Naruto Shippuden, several incidents occurred, including Naruto’s tailed beast transformation during his fight with Orochimaru. By the time his transformation was undone, he had become severely weakened.
When Naruto and his team had successfully discovered Orochimaru’s hideout through a lot of struggles and finally met Sasuke, he seemed a lot more powerful. He made his intentions clear and declared that he wouldn’t be returning to the leaf.
After this, he shows his dominance in battle and raises his arm to use Thunderclap when Orochimaru stops him, and they both flee from the scene, leaving Naruto and Sakura in despair.
9 Naruto and Sasuke- Introduction
This could be considered one of the most hilarious introductions in anime history. In their classroom, Sasuke was considered a prodigy as his ninjutsu was more polished than the rest of his classmates, and Naruto was considered the weakest.
As the entire classroom was fawning over Sasuke because of his looks, Naruto kept glaring at him because he just couldn’t figure out why the guy was special. As he was being overly dramatic and sitting on top of Sasuke’s desk, he was knocked down by Shikamaru, which resulted in an accidental kiss. Considering their intense rivalry, this moment is all the more iconic and hilarious.
8 Naruto and Sasuke vs Haku
This was one of those fights that emphasized the importance of friendships to Sasuke. Despite his cold and heartless demeanor, he jumped in front of Naruto to protect him from Haku’s deadly Ice Prison justsu, and ended up getting pierced by Hakus ice. When Naruto asked Sasuke why he sacrificed himself, all Sasuke could say was that his body moved on its own, symbolizing his intense urge to protect his friends and put their lives in front of his own.
That gesture of his left an indelible impression on Naruto, thus strengthening their friendship even more so much that even when Sasuke got blinded by hatred and chose to leave the village, Naruto still believed he could bring him back to the Leaf Village because of the strong bond that he felt they had.
7 Sasuke vs Gaara
This was one of the most exciting battles in the Chunin exams because the most powerful genin from the sand village was pitted against the most powerful genin from the leaf village, Sasuke. Their fight starts with Sasuke landing quick blows on Gaara, giving him less time to react. This exhausted Gaara, who covered himself in a ball of toughened sand: an impenetrable defense.
At this point, Sasuke puts his distance from Gaara to prepare himself to attack and pierces through Gaara’s sandwall using Chidori. This surprised all the audiences because Chidori is a highly skilled jutsu used by Kakashi. Gaara gets wounded for the first time in his life due to Sasuke’s Chidori and freaks out, causing his tailed beast transformation. Their fight ended at this point.
6 Sasuke Reunites with Itachi
This is a very emotional scene. The Reanimation Jutsu, despite being a really despicable jutsu that defiles the dead, turned out to be a double-edged sword for the caster, Kabuto, because Itachi managed to break from its mind control and fought alongside Sasuke to bring Kabuto down.
Although Sasuke harbored nothing but hate for Itachi throughout his life; after learning the truth about Itachi, he softens around him. Kabuto was a really tricky opponent to deal with due to the several jutsu that he used. However the strength and bond of the Uchiha brothers triumphed in the end, and the reanimation jutsu was undone.
5 Sasuke vs Itachi
We’re all well aware of Sasuke’s intense hatred towards Itachi throughout the series. He spent countless days harnessing power and training tirelessly, all to exact revenge on his brother, Itachi, who slaughtered his loved ones but spared only him. Although he was no match for Itachi initially, he gradually managed to claw his way to the top, finally defeating his brother in an intense battle. Sasuke acquired the Mangekyo Sharingan as the aftermath of that battle.
This fight turned out to be emotional towards the end as Sasuke later came to know that Itachi was suffering from an illness that threatened to take his life at any moment. He was sustaining himself with the help of medication. Sasuke had a major emotional outburst as well as immense character development when he learned that his brother, who he hated, had planned this from the beginning and was happy to die at his own brother’s hands.
4 Sasuke Notices Sakura for the First Time
Everyone who has watched Naruto knows how obsessively Sakura has pursued Sasuke. Despite Sasuke’s “mild” attempts to kill Sakura or how he brutally shot her down each time she approached him, nothing could stop the woman who was madly in love.
At the end of Naruto Shippuden, as Sasuke was about to leave the village, Sakura asked if she could accompany him. Sasuke refuses, and when Sakura looked dejected, he reassured her, telling her he’d be back, and taps her on the forehead, the hilarious method by which the Uchiha brothers show their affection.
3 Sasuke vs Danzo
This could be classified as one of the most interesting and tactical fights in history as it showcases just how much Sasuke has grown as a shinobi. From being able to use the Susanoo to learning a new summoning jutsu, this fight depicts the exponential increase in his power.
Considering how Danzo was a formidable foe, Sasuke’s fight with him required Sasuke to use almost every trick up his sleeve as Danzo kept using all the Sharingan embedded in his arm to activate the forbidden visual jutsu – Izanagi. Sasuke trumps Danzo’s jutsu by using his Amaterasu and predicting his movements. In the end, Tobi and Sasuke corner Danzo, who self-detonates as a last resort to bring them both down.
2 Naruto vs Sasuke: Battle At Final Valley Part 1
As Sasuke’s thirst for power increases, he realizes that he has to make some sacrifices to acquire power. This yearning for power made him leave the village to find Orochimaru, who promised to make him stronger if Sasuke joined his side.
Although he managed to subdue Sakura’s attempt at stopping him from leaving, Naruto’s intervention with his plans led to a huge fight in the Final Valley, where we got to see the clash between Naruto’s and Sasuke’s ultimate jutsu: Rasengan and Chidori.
Although Naruto channeled Kurama’s power and ended up losing control, Sasuke still managed to defeat him. This just goes to show that, ultimately, Sasuke’s hunger for strength overpowers his desire to stay with Team 7.
1 Naruto vs Sasuke: Battle At Final Valley Part 2
After going through multiple hardships and learning new techniques, the ninja rivals go at it again at the place where it all started: The Final Valley. Each stage of their evolution is depicted as they make their way toward each other from the opposite ends of the Valley, first engaging in intense hand-to-hand combat that transitioned to a strategic air battle involving Sasuke’s full body Susano’o and Naruto’s Tailed Beast mode.
Sasuke eventually used his ultimate move: Indra’s arrow, after absorbing all the chakra from the tailed beasts that he sealed, launching a huge bolt of lightning toward Naruto, who managed to counter it by going into his Sage of Six Paths mode and using two Rasenshuriken.
Towards the end, Naruto and Sasuke charged up their signature attacks: the Rasengan and Chidori, respectively, which, upon direct collision with each other, created a massive explosion, destroying their arms.
