Everything worked out in Tenji’s favor until the last twist for this episode. Even though there were moments when things went out of his hands, luck was by his side. Thus, it was always a win-win situation for him, no matter what happened.

Episode 4 Recap
Tenji ensures Shiho that no matter what happens, he will always believe her and is not going to betray her. Tenji’s plan is working just as expected. He has already destroyed Kokorogi’s feelings towards Shiho, and now he will destroy Shiho’s feelings towards Kokorogi.
He offers her the possibility that what if Kokorogi wrote her secret herself, just to win Yuuichi’s trust. After this, he goes to the bad-mouth box and writes a secret about himself. When he returns, he sees that Yuuichi has slapped Shiho for asking about what Tenji told her about Kokorogi.
Kokorogi tries to tease her based on her plastic surgery. Shiho reveals that the plastic surgery was to hide a scar she got in junior high. Shibe is relieved to know that, but all this has now distanced Shiho from Yuuichi. She no longer feels the same way for him.
Kokorogi goes in next, and then, one by one, others go in as well. After everyone turns, Manabu reveals the answers, and two new secrets come to the surface. One is that Tenji is one year older than everyone else, and Shiho wears men’s boxers.
Afterward, Tenji manipulates her only to believe him and no one else and wants her to be close to him and do nothing on her own. The results are declared, and Shiho is in the lead. She gets a special chance because she is in the lead.
Now, she can nominate any one of the rest, or even herself and that person’s one dark secret will be revealed by the organizers. This secret might put them into trouble.
Shiho is ready to nominate Tenji, but Shibe interferes in between and tells her to nominate him as he has nothing to hide or lie about. To everyone’s shock, it is revealed that Shibe’s father has been involved in many harassment and bribe cases, i.e., he is a total scumbag.
Shibe himself is shocked to know this. Even though he has nothing to do with all this, he gets cornered, his rank increases, and he is now in the second position. After another bad-mouth box round, only one secret is revealed: Shibe has killed a man.
Tenji is shaken to know this as he didn’t write anything this time, and then it is revealed that it was Yuuichi who wrote that.
