The fourth episode of Tomo-chan is a Girl! was an eventful one, as we saw a minor conflict between Tomo and Misuzu, Misuzu being confessed to, an introduction to Tomo’s mom, Tomo hugging Jun, and Tomo beating up a creep all in one episode.
Tomo also hugged Jun, leaving him a little puzzled. Though, he beat up a couple of boys headed out to beat Tomo up, making me wonder how long he will take to realize he likes her. Here are the latest updates.

Aside from focusing on Tomo and Jun, the next episode could also feature Tanaba trying to pursue Misuzu and attract her. He will also do his best to see her smile. We might also see Carol trying to get her fiance, Misaki, to view her more romantically.
Carol also wishes to be Misuzu’s best friend, so the next episode could show Csrol trying to get closer to her and if Misuzu can open up to her further.

3. Episode 4 Recap
Tanabe greets Misuzu at the beginning of the episode. Tanabe says he wants to see her smile, but Jun tells him she always is when she speaks to him. When Tanabe responds positively to her question about liking her, Misuzu advises him to approach her normally so that she can at least reject him with a smile.
When Tomo questions Misuzu about whether or not she still likes Jun, Misuzu responds that she does not. When Tomo tries to hug her girlfriends, things usually go awry. Tomo ponders whether she and Misuzu are close enough to attempt something like a hug. She requests that they try once, but Misuzu declines.
When Carol offers to hug Tomo, Tomo is taken aback by how “girly” Carol seems. Tomo starts getting hugged by Carol whenever they cross paths. In the morning, Tomo tries to say hi to Misuzu but only receives a brief reaction. Carol feels that she caused this by hugging Tomo excessively. Misuzu goes to Tomo to apologize for her icy behavior. Then, she ponders why Tomo has never attempted to embrace Jun.
Jun pulls Tomo away when she tries to hug him. Tomo is taken aback when she wakes Jun up in her room at her father’s request. Tomo’s mother laments that her husband is constantly at the dojo. Although initially appears to be a bad thing, we later notice that Tomo’s mother still makes him extremely nervous, which Tomo deems lame.
Even though she thinks it’s corny, she admires her father for always being there for her mother whenever she needs him. Carol consults Misuzu regarding Misaki while Jun and Tomo eat lunch together. He seems to view her as a sister, even though she likes him. Misuzu advises Carol to consider approaching things more seriously.
Inquiring about a boy harassing boy Ogawa met at a mixer, Mifune and Ogawa go to Tomo. Tomo offers to handle it. Tomo kicks the guy in the chest.
Jun overhears the same thug discussing beating up Tomo with his companions. He promptly knocks the man out before posing a challenge to his companions. The thug and his gang arrive to apologize to her as Tomo leaves school, unaware that Jun coerced them into it.

Tomo-chan Is a Girl! is a four-panel manga by Fumita Yanagida. It was published from April 2015 to July 2019. The manga will also receive an anime adaptation in 2023.
The plot revolves around a tomboy girl, Tomo Aizawa. She has a crush on her childhood friend, Jun, but he only ever thinks of her as a guy. She tries to show her love but it ends up in Jun completely misinterpreting her hints.
The hilarious series shows how Tomo tries to capture Jun’s attention while also dealing with her friends, Misuzu and Carol.
