2. Episode 9 Speculation

After a brutal beating by the Haitani Brothers, Hakkai and Angry are barely standing. However, the two have finally discovered something in common. Regardless, Rindo and Ran are much more experienced and stronger than Hakkai and Angry. Without Taiju or Smiley, Toman cannot win that battle.

The Vicious Generation is much stronger than anyone in Toman, making this a one-sided battle. Especially without Mikey or Draken, Toman has no chance of winning an all-out fight. The only possibility of victory is Kakucho betraying Tenjiku, allowing Takemichi to fight Kisaki.

3. Recap of Episode 8

During the prime years of Black Dragon, Koko studied hard in school while Inui was obsessed with his gang. When they were younger, Koko had a massive crush on Inui’s sister, Akane. Akane would invite Koko to the library occasionally and take big naps there.

Koko admired Akane’s face as she slept and even leaned in for a kiss once. Right before contact, Akane stopped Koko and told him only to kiss someone he loved. Koko confessed his feelings, but Akane rejected him due to their age gap.

Regardless, Koko continued pursuing Akane and asked to marry her. Akane was amused and asked Koko to wait till he was grown up. However, that night, the Inui household had blown up in flames. Koko ran into the house and saved Seishu, mistaking him for Akane.

Later, in the hospital, Inui talked about Akane’s severe burns, which would cost 40 million yen to treat. Since Inui is from a middle-class household, the family can’t afford it. Desperate to save Akane, Koko studied hard and even turned to crime to make quick money through stealing and extortion.

Eventually, Koko started making connections with wealthy people who needed criminal services. However, before Koko could scrape together 40 million, Akane died. In the present, Inui punches Koko, reminding him that Akane is dead.

The memories flood into Koko, and he starts crying about Akane. Regardless, Koko tells Inui that he’s loyal to Tenjiku now, which makes Inui his enemy. Mucho steps in and tells Inui that he will be his opponent now. Meanwhile, Kakucho gains the upper hand against Takemichi.

The Haitani Brothers face off against Hakkai and Angry. However, the two brothers’ coordination is too strong for Toman to beat. Angry only worked with Smiley and Hakkai with Yuzuha. The only thing Hakkai and Angry have in common is being spoiled little brothers.
