Meanwhile, Chifuyu is tied up, and it is unlikely that he will be able to get out himself, and Hanma and Tetta have already made their exit. The conflict between Takemichi and them grows even further due to this betrayal.

Takemichi and Chifuyu prepare to put their plan into action, and Chifuyu entrusts Baji’s sash to Takemichi as an honorary baton in preparation for what is to come. They meet up with Kisaki Tetta and move forward.

Takemichi goes into the church to convince Hakkai and runs into him in the main room, much to his surprise. He states his intentions clearly and straightforwardly, and Hakkai says that if he tries to stop him, he will kill him too.

But Takemichi understands his true intentions and says it straight out, but Hakkai has been much too traumatized by his older brother than he could ever understand. Takemichi talks about Hina in a last-ditch effort to try and convince him.

Yuzuha would not want him to kill Taiju, and Hakkai does not want to do that to her. In the middle of the conversation, Taiju walks into the church and causes Hakkai to go into a frenzy and try and kill him immediately.

Chifuyu is found to be tied up by Hanma and Tetta, who plan to betray them straight from the beginning. Takemichi finds him in a tough spot now that his plan has gone completely off, and Taiju moves on to him next.

Taiju beats up Takemichi as he begins fearing his death, and Hakkai can do nothing but stare speechless. Yuzuha appears from behind with a knife and stabs Taiju, enraging him further as he throws a whole row.

She hears about the entire plan from Kisaki Tetta, and Takemichi finally begins to connect the dots and realize that she is the one who was supposed to murder him right from the start, but his scream manages to distract her and cause the stab to be slightly off.
